The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Former two time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
